an exercise in writing – 1

Imagine yourself in ten years. You, facing the city at night, seeing everything from a window in the 40th floor of a building. Might be a restaurant, might as well be a lounge, too. Even your house. Might be Tokyo, Singapore, São Paulo, might be somewhere else. The privileged view of an avenue or an expressway in the foreground, with the flow of cars and trucks looking like red and white cells in a photo negative version of blood flowing through the arteries in our bodies. The perspective of seeing everything from meters away, kilometers away. Behind you, an empty room inside whatever place you are at this point – think of it as if it was an art gallery, or a place whose only function is to create a space for someone to be in peace with oneself. At that point, what do you think you would be thinking about?

  1. I’d get a glimpse of the true sense of peace…. A very good question one should ask themselves 👌👌👏👏

    1. Thanks for your comment! Indeed, it might be the only time in one’s life that peace would manifest itself so clearly, but still it would have been worth it 😃
