a couple of months ago i had this idea to buy a couple of cute little yellow ducks, the same ones you may often see in those bath scenes for comedies or children’s series, and try to take some pictures at this stream that runs through the southern part of my university.

somehow being able to accomplish this would be a personal realization. similar to when i said in a meeting at my former internship that one of my biggest dreams was to dress up as a campaign mascot for a day and go around playing with kids giving hugs.
back to the ducks. i even have the concept of the photos in my head. this uneven stream of ducks coming downstream, just chilling. as if plastic objects understood such a concept as “chilling” or “vibing.” i think i would draw sunglasses in some of them, so to create this distinction between the cool ducks and the lame ducks. political joke, much? i don’t care.
and as i keep writing these lines, the setting for this photo session gets even more concrete. maybe i should try taking these pictures during winter? four seasons at hokudai through the lenses of ducks going around the sakushukotoni stream – even though i just have another season left, all things considered.
speaking of which, we had the first snowfall yesterday. so in a few days, the lawn where i would ideally make this happen will become a giant outdoor freezer. should i get the ducks now or just leave it for the time around my graduation? we’ll see.
for reference, this is the kind of duck i am talking about.
